The babies are growing…and growing fast.
They have responded well to daily naps and a full nights sleep in The Cot – the baby bed that I constructed a short time ago to hold the truss tomatoes.
The truss tomato plant has grown from seeds I saved from truss tomatoes I bought from the supermarket. I planted the seeds in a pot, then transferred them to The Cot some time ago.
The garden bed is a no dig garden bed, constructed with layers of grass clippings, manure and potting mix, topped with another layer of grass clippings as mulch.
The next step is to expand The Cot with with a trellis, as the babies will soon require a frame sufficient to support their rapid growth.
